I do this too. xD Except instead of a gun, I tend to bludgeon my victims instead.

At some point internally, PHP converts function and class names to their lowercase equivalent. According to this page, Turkish has two forms of the letter “i”, which are apparently not interchangeable.
This all, of course, means that any function or class with a capital “i” in it’s name will appear undefined when using a Turkish locale. Fun!
The simplest workaround seems to be just setting
LC_CTYPEback toen_USwhen using thetr_TRlocale.
Or maybe just en instead, since the entire world actually doesn’t revolve around America.
I log into my Tumblr account after a year and a half of doing fuck all with it, and see 6 people still following me from class.

Hosting Resolved!
Alright, so Avalanche have graciously agreed to provide a hosting grounds for the site. The URL’s as follows:
Not much to see yet, obviously…
Today’s Meeting, Part II
So we’re now back and we’ve decided to break ourselves down into teams to handle different areas of the Exhibition planning. We’ve all settled on a “when” for the exhibition date, so we’re now faced with a concrete deadline to work towards (after all, always good to know how many feet you’re falling into the ground after skydiving without a parachute, eh? In a matter of speaking.) We’ve agreed that the next thing to do would be to develop a logo and branding for the event’s visual identity. That task’s been handed to Shane, James, Tahlia and Andrew, who’re charged with taking care of the advertising and promotions.
I’ve volunteered to talk with my employers about providing hosting for our exhibition’s website, where I’ll have free reign to develop dynamic, PHP-driven content and a Content Management integrated with WordPress to allow for file uploading / sharing. This would in turn help the team to post suggests and ideas and keep an easier flow of feedback. I pointed out that I could even go as far as moving the posts from our Tumblr log into the WordPress database (complete with timestamps), which would allow us to post comments on each other’s posts (which is something that Tumblr appears to lack).
Date Of The Exhibition:
November 20th Friday Night, 6-8 PM
Roles:
Anna: Curator and Lighting
Damir: Organising Catering
James: Merchandising and Sponsorship
Jeremy: Tech Nerd
John: Site Management / Creation
Mike: Creating Videos to help Promote the event / Photography for the Night
Nicole: Costume and Venue Decoration
Shane: Working with Andrew on advertising and promotion
Tahlia: Working with Andrew and Shane on Advertising and Promotion
Today’s Meeting, Part I
After administering a good deal of apprehension among the students by outlining the major tasks that’re due to be finished in the remaining four weeks of the semester, Werner gathered us all around for another session of Exhibition Planning.
We’ve a title now: “Clink”
We’ve a subtitle now: “See you in Helvetica”
We’ve got a venue.
But one thing that’s missing (big-time) is that we’re lacking a graphical presence… no logo, no banners, or any sort of visual identity yet.
Tahlia’s protested her assigned role as the group’s Catering department, so we’re maybe shifting the burden on Damir’s shoulders instead… at the moment, we’re looking at having a brief break to clear our heads and refresh our attention spans. Then we’ll nut out our roles in concrete.
